[2015.05.17] Airi's Life! ✩ Exams, Exams, and more Exams! A Stressful May?

Hello, everyone? Did you miss me? As always, I do sincerely apologize for the lack of activity.. not just on this blog, but almost everywhere. I'm not as active on Twitter, Facebook Page.. Well, I am a tiny bit more active on Tumblr, but still. I have a very legitimate reason for not being so active as of late; school.

As of recently, school has been pretty... tiring, as of late. I won't go into too much detail on that until later in the entry. Also, do you guys like the gif? I made it myself. School Days ☆ Exams, Exams, Exams!

Remember how back in April, I said that May would be stressful for me.. Well, for just one week. I was absolutely wrong. For almost every week of May, I've had at least one major exam to do. For the first (full) week of May, I had a Guild Piano exam in which I had to perform 10 songs. But what made it nerve-wracking was that this year I was testing for national level.

The following week after that was AP Exams. I had to go in and take my AP Government Exam. For the few days leading up to the exam, I was just really done with everything. I didn't bother to finish my Barron's AP Government review book. One of my closest friends, who also happens to be taking the subject, was also really done with the subject. He barely studied for it. But he's a really smart kid, so I have faith that he'll get a 5.

I take back when I said about fourth quarter being really easy. With all the exams, I find it to be extremely stressful. While I have really good grades now, if I screw up something- that assignment will drop down my grade by 10% or something. So this is the big reason why I don't write blog entries as often. I'm using the time to do my homework and study. I will assure everyone- anyone who's reading this- that I will write more once summer comes around!

Reading Days ☆ Angel Diary & Legend

I don't know how.. but I've come to really like Korean manhwas now? Before this year, I used to never read Korean manhwas. Please don't hate me, but I never really liked them too much. A few years ago, I tried to read manhwas such as Chocolat or Goong. However, they never really appealed to me. I never really like the art style that much and I never really got fully interested into the plot. And I tried multiple times to read them again but still... /sigh;

However, in school, I came across two really interesting Korean manhwas titled Angel Diary and Legend. First of all, I was really drawn to the pretty covers. I know that people always say "don't judge a book by its cover" and I do firmly believe in that quote. But the covers were really pretty... /whacked; I'm sorry, I couldn't really help myself. I started reading.. and I fell in love with them!

EDIT; Angel Diary is also known as Destination Heaven Chronicles. 

I won't spend too much time talking about the plot to the manhwas. You could always find summaries on them online. That, and I'm just too lazy to write it all out. I really do love Kara's art style. It's very similar to Japanese mangas, so I guess that's why. My brain is just so used to seeing Japanese style manga artwork. But it's not just the artwork, I really do love the plot lines for both manhwas. The main genre of those two are fantasy, and I love fantasy.

If you're like me, one who usually sticks to Japanese mangas, I really do recommend reading these two manhwas. Yes, I know they're different. You're gonna have to read left to right, even though you're tempted to read from right to left (I did that). But it will be worth it. If you're a manga fan but you're trying to get into Korean manhwa, I feel like these books will be good transition. Of course, this is simply my opinion. I haven't read that many manhwas yet so I don't absolutely know for sure.

Traveling Days ☆ Japan + Motherland! Take 2

I'm happy to say that... I'll be traveling back to Japan and Vietnam this summer! Hooray! If you guys didn't know, I traveled to Japan and Vietnam early last year during the Winter time. However, that trip wasn't all too great as I expected to be. I did enjoy a majority of the trip; however, there were a few incidents that happened. You all can read about last year's trip in some past entries of my blog. I wrote about that already. This time around, this trip is going to be amazing! I'm fully prepared! I know what to expect now.

Last year, I didn't spend too much time in Japan. I only spent about three days in Tokyo before heading off to Vietnam. However, now I shall be staying in Tokyo for approximately four~five days. I'll be heading off to more places such as Shibuya and Ginza. Last time, I just didn't have time to go there. By the time I arrive in Vietnam, I will be broke-ass-broke. I'll be shopping like crazy there. And that's okay, it'll be absolutely worth it. /whacked;

However, before I leave for Japan and Vietnam, I will be posting pre-written entries during my time there. Hey, I gotta keep this blog alive while I'm on vacation. So, look out for those. Also, I will be posting pictures of my trip on my very inactive Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. So again, look out for those. When the time comes, I will post links to my social media on the blog. Don't worry. Warning: most of my pictures will probably be just food porn. /whacked;
