In which I highly doubt Berryz Koubou's fashion tastes. Ayee. /looks away

I finally get to post a review after who knows how long, hurray~

Recently, Berryz Koubou has released the MVs for the upcoming double A-side single Motto Zutto Isshou ni Itakatta / ROCK Erotic. Either Tsunku has no time for Berryz Koubou anymore or he has completely given up on them. I honestly feel so disappointed in Berryz Koubou nowadays. Like seriously, they need to step up their game. If not, everyone else in Hello! Project are gonna step on them like a bug and Berryz Koubou will be no more. Okay, well enough of that. Let's move on with the review~ Whoo ...

Motto Zutto Isshou ni Itakatta, when I first heard the radio rip, it was a really decent song. Which is good, imo. It kinda gave me a throwback to Kanashiki Amefuri in a way, I don't know why. I guess the song made me feel that way. So basically the song is how a girl has broken up with her boyfriend but after awhile, she begins to miss him. He treated her so kindly and she realizes that she still has feelings for him, thus wishing that she could've stayed with him longer. Okay, the lyrics are decent. Nothing special about it, just a regular love song. It's decent, It's okay. I think Risako really did her best for this song, I appreciate it. I like the song, end of story.

And then the MV came out and I felt so disappointed. It was so boring to the point that I yawned so many times. I nearly fell asleep watching this MV. The set was so uninteresting except for the rose petals and the random water and fake stars (aka lights) in the background. Also, the dance, which imo is an important part of a MV, was seriously boring. Berryz Koubou needs to step up their game and improves their dances. There's not originality in this dance, there's no key points in this dance. Take Wagamama Ki no Mama Ai no Joke, a key point in the dance is the bitch slapping. And in S/mileage's Atarashii Watashi ni Nare!, we got the random dinosaur moves. But for Berryz Koubou, we got nothing. In this dance, we got them either dancing like robots or acting like puppets.

Now the girls look pretty in this MV, all of them are beautiful and stunning and Momoko stopped with the pigtails for this MV - hallelujah thank the lord. However, the fashion sense in this MV my gawd. Are Berryz Koubou turning into soccer moms now? I though Chissa took that image already in Kanashiki Amefuri (no offense Chissa, I still like you.) Yurina's, Momoko's, and Saki's outfits in this MV were pretty. I liked their outfits the best. Risako's and Chinami's outfits are okay. And Maasa's is pretty, but they need to fix the length of the dress. Maybe shorten it a bit? Miyabi's outfits screamed old lady. And I thought that she was the fashion leader of Berryz Koubou ... aye.

So overall for Motto Zutto Isshou ni Itakatta, I don't like this MV. But at least it's a better MV than Sayonara Usotsuki no Watashi. I feel like most of the members didn't do their best for this MV and looked like they didn't want to be there. And they all look so awkward in this MV. Except for beautiful Yurina, who looks like she wants to be there and loves Berryz Koubou so much. Bless that girl.

Now let's jump forward into ROCK Erotic. Now this song, imo, is much more catchier than Motto Zutto Isshou ni Itakatta. Since the MV came out, I find myself humming the tune for ROCK Erotic. This song has a really dark feel to it, which is usually something Berryz Koubou hasn't really done. So basically the song talks about how one wants a love that is far more different than everything else. Just falling in love is boring, they want more. To me, this has kind of a dark feel to it. So the song is okay. Moving on~

Comparing this to Motto Zutto Isshou ni Itakatta, ROCK Erotic has a more interesting MV by a little bit. I like the set of the MV, I really do like the black background and the lights. The red-pink curtains in the close up feel so out of place so I don't like it that much. I was hoping for the close up to just be black or maybe have some dark purple accents in the background maybe. The dance was really weird in this MV and I didn't like it. I mean it felt really weird to me so I don't really like it. Also the dance wasn't memorable like Motto Zutto Isshou ni Itakatta so yea.

Now the girls looked stunning in this MV, I love the outfits ... except Momoko's. It reminded of a loli dress or something like that. Plus it seriously doesn't fit her image. Like Momoko is meant to be girly and loli and fairy-kei and pink and all that. When I saw her in this MV, she felt so out of place. She can't do a dark, sexy image. Like no. Saki scared me in this MV, like she literally scared me. She looks like a ghost of a dark bride or something and I was so creeped out and scared. She's so pretty in this MV, but she scared me! /shivers

So that's all for this review, I finally did a review after who knows how long! Now to write the rest of my missed reviews. Well until my next post! Jyaa ne~
