AIRIのプレイリスト ♪ Valentine's Day '15 ♥
Hello, guys~ Valentine's Day is just around the corner- It's this Saturday. I wanted to do something a little different for my blog this year so here it is. This is my first time doing a Valentine's Day music playlist! I'm quite excited for this!
I don't necessarily celebrate holiday (since I don't have anyone to give chocolate. I'm single.) However, not everyone is single! Some may have boyfriends or girlfriends~ So here's to all lovely couples out there! Don't worry, I also added in some happy-go-lucky and cutesy songs for all the single people like me! It will probably get you in a cute happy mood.

Note: These songs are in no particular order, whatsoever. I tend to ramble on and on about random stuff, so please bear with me. Some of these songs may seem random, and may not suit the theme. There are more songs on this list, but I'm lazy. If I'm missing any songs that you think would be perfect for the list, free free to comment! I'd love to hear your suggestions!
「Love」by AAA・I'm going to start off with a pretty obvious one here. It practically has the word 'love' as the song title, ayy. It's not a personal favorite song of mine. I don't find it to be that memorable, despite the catchy chorus. However, this is still an absolutely lovely song nonetheless. The song is not too fast nor heavy on the ears. It's rather very light-hearted song and in my opinion, a bit soothing as well. You can listen to this song if you're with your significant other or if you want to be alone. This is a song for mostly everyone. This song is probably the leading track of my entire Valentine's Day list. It's the perfect background music to almost any cutesy, dorky romantic theme. It's perfect. And now that I'm listening to it a lot more, I'm starting to really like the song!
「The Distance (ft. 中村舞子)」by CLIFF EDGE・This is for all the single people out there, who are just like me! Who needs a boyfriend or a girlfriend? We have each other!.. and anime, and cute Japanese idols! Virtual high five! /high five laptop screen; I have yet to read a full proper English translation of the song. However, from my very very very very poor Japanese skills (I understood some phrases here and there), it's about wanting to see that person again and missing them. It's a bit of sad song. However, it's still a good song nonetheless! I think of it as a hidden gem in Japanese music. I really do love this song.
「好き」by 西野カナ・I included this song in my autumn playlist for 2014. And now I'm bringing it back for my Valentine's Day playlist~ First of it, it has the phrase 'Suki (I like you)' as the song title. That is pretty self-explanatory. Must I explain more? Yes, yes I do. I find this to very a cute song from Nishino Kana. I absolutely adore it. Thus, I am bringing it back for this playlist. This is also a Valentine's Day song as well. Just imagine it- your significant other may not be exactly perfect like in fairy tales. They may be forgetful or a little bit awkward. Your Valentine's Day may not be exactly how you dream to be with roses and chocolate. However, it's the little things that matter. You're together at the end of the day and you still love each other dearly. And this song will be playing in the background~ Hahaha~
「舞い、恋」by 中山優馬・Yes, yes- Absolutely yes. This is another beautiful Valentine's Day song. The song is not that popular compared to 'In The Name of Love;' however, this is by far my most favorite song from Yuma's album. This is truly a ballad. It starts off very slowly with the piano and a bit of guitar here and there. And Yuma's voice is completely smooth and gentle. The song has a bit of a classical mixed with modern day feel to it. It somewhat reminds me of 'Mizu no Kaeru Basho.' I don't the translation; however, I'm going to assume that it's a pretty sad song about a one-sided romance, wanting to see the other person, etc. Nonetheless, it's still a very beautiful song.
「恋に恋して」by 倉木麻衣・The song just speaks for itself. Do I really need to explain why it's in this list? Yes, Yes I do. First of all, the song title literally translates to 'In Love with Love.' I find the one can really relate to this song. I think we all can relate to this song in some way. To me, it's a bit realistic. I seriously do think that at least some people can relate to this song. It has a bit of similar sound (more like feel) to AAA's 'Love.' It's very light-hearted and soft. It's easy on the ears. This is one of my most favorite songs from Kuraki Mai. It's a very simple yet cute song about love. Whether you're in a relationship or single, I think everyone can listen to it and still enjoy it.
「Love風」by 中島健人・Honestly, I had forgotten that this song even existed. This is how much I don't care for the song that much. I sincerely apologize to all fans of Nakajima Kento. This song is not my cup of tea, please everyone hyped it up way too much. Nonetheless (I keep saying that a lot in this entry), it's still an endearing song. It has a very pretty melody to it. The lyrics to the song are actually very well-written. It's very romantic and pink. Cue all the rainbows and sparkles! As expected of Sexy Zone's loveaholic prince, Nakajima Kento.
「私の心」by スマイレージ・The group is now known as ANGERME; however, for organization purposes on iTunes- I still listen them as S/mileage. Anyways, this is a song from their second album. I honestly like to think of them as one of their better songs. It's a hidden gem. It's not really performed a lot. If I recall, it's only been performed at four events only. I do wish that they promoted this song more. It's such a pretty song. Everyone sounded amazing in this. The melody is extremely pretty with the piano. S/mileage (err- ANGERME) are known for their somewhat high (and somewhat squeaky) voices. However, they were able to pull off a cute love ballad so well.
「V.O.L」by AAA・And now we're back to talking about AAA again. The sound stands for 'Voice of Love' ... obviously. /whacked; This is one of my favorite songs from their GOLD SYMPHONY album. I originally intended to put this on my autumn playlist for 2014, but I was lazy. However, now I get to put it on my Valentine's Day playlist! This is a much more energetic and happy song. It reminds me of 'Love Is In The Air.' Hidaka actually have solo lines! Not like rap- but actual singing! It's not completely fast paced. Andante- the song sounds more of a walking pace. I think that this is another perfect song for Valentine's Day- this is kind of for everyone, whether you have a significant other or you're single for that year.
「Charming Kiss」by Chiaki(AAA)♡Chika・AAA is literally dominating the playlist for Valentine's Day, and I absolutely regret nothing. This is an absolutely cute song and I adore it so much! If there's anything who's a fan of Vocaloid, then I do recommend listening to this song. It's like your typical Vocaloid song. I find the song to give off a very cutesy and girly feel to it. The music video also goes well with the song as well. I honestly couldn't help myself. I just had to put this song onto the list! It deserves to have a spot here. I regret nothing.
「もう一度だけ」by Da-iCE・I legitimately cried when I first heard this song. There was practically onions under my eyes. Again, Da-iCE never fails to amaze me. Their songs are simply spectacular. However, by far, 'Mou Ichido Dake' is my most favorite song from them. To be honest, this is a tiny bit different from what I usually see from them. Usually, a majority of Da-iCE's songs are very up-beat and energetic. They're dance songs that will immediately get you excited. However, 'Mou Ichido Dake' is a little bit slower. It sounds a more gentle, compared to other songs like 'Hush Hush' and 'I'll be back.' This is a very unique pretty song. Listen to it, please.
「大好き100万点」by 譜久村聖 & 石田亜佑美 (モーニング娘。'15)・Initially, when the single first came out- I wasn't totally in love with the song. I often skipped it and didn't really bother sitting down to take the time to listen to the entire song. However, as of recently, I've fallen in love with this song. This song is absolutely adorable and cute! It made me think- why didn't I listen to this song sooner? This is absolutely great! It's so addicting. I can't stop listening to it now. Mizuki and Ayumi were just absolutely outstanding in this song. The song is just nothing but cute. It will certainly brighten up your Valentine's Day.
「Love You More」by GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE・I loved the music video for this song. And I love the song just as much. This is also another great song for Valentine's Day. I've always considered myself a casual fan of GENERATIONS. I don't know much about the members; however, I love their music. 'Love You More' is just one of the many, many great songs they've released. The song is just another one of your ordinary love-ballads. However, they did such a great job with it! The song is just amazing. It's definitely a Valentine's Day song, despite the single being released in May that year.
